AIX: Forward X11 after su –

If you are using xauth files and forward X-Sessions through ssh and issue a “su -” command on the shell, the xauth attributes will get lost for that one session. You need to re-set the xauthority environment variable in order to tunnel xsessions through the switch-user session:

Example:
export DISPLAY=localhost:10.0
export XAUTHORITY=~/.Xauthority

This will set the xauthority file pointer to the user-initiated session, and xauth will be permitted to tunnel xsessions again.
